Returns & Refunds Policy

At Egg Chairs UK, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains how cancellations, returns and refunds work for online orders, including large and bulky furniture items. It is written in line with UK consumer law, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

1) Your Right to Cancel (Change of Mind)

If you purchased online, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).

To exercise your right to cancel, you must email us within 14 days of delivery at support@eggchairsuk.co.uk with your order number. After you cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the item(s) to us.

2) Conditions for Change of Mind Returns

To be eligible for a change of mind return, items must be:

  • Unused, unassembled and in original condition
  • Returned in original packaging with all parts, fittings, accessories and instructions
  • Handled only as much as necessary to inspect them (as you would in a shop)

If an item is returned in a condition that reduces its resale value (for example: assembled, used, marked, missing parts, or not in original packaging), we may refuse the return or make a deduction from the refund to reflect the reduction in value.

3) Return Shipping Costs (Change of Mind)

For change of mind returns, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Any original delivery charges paid at checkout are non-refundable (unless required by law).

Our products are large and bulky furniture items and may require a suitable courier or pallet service for returns. You are responsible for ensuring the return is packaged securely and arrives back to us safely.

If you would like us to arrange return collection, we can do so at a quoted cost. If agreed, the collection cost may be deducted from your refund.

4) Refunds for Change of Mind Returns

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 14 days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.


5) Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect, or with missing parts, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at support@eggchairsuk.co.uk. Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos (including the packaging if relevant).

If the issue is confirmed, we will offer an appropriate remedy which may include:

  • Replacement parts
  • Repair
  • Replacement item
  • Partial or full refund

Where an item is confirmed faulty or damaged on arrival, we will cover reasonable return or replacement delivery costs, as required.

6) Damage After Delivery / Misuse

We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused after delivery by:

  • Improper assembly or failure to follow instructions
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Misuse, neglect, or accidental damage
  • Exposure to extreme weather without suitable protection
  • Commercial, event, rental or other non-domestic use

7) Non-Returnable Items (Change of Mind)

The following are not eligible for change of mind returns (unless faulty):

  • Assembled or partially assembled furniture items
  • Items showing signs of use beyond what is needed to inspect the goods
  • Clearance or final sale items (where clearly marked as such at the time of purchase)

8) Cancelling Before Dispatch

If you cancel your order before dispatch, you will receive a full refund.

If an order has already been dispatched or booked with a courier, cancellation will be treated as a standard return and return shipping costs may apply.


9) Large & Bulky Furniture Deliveries

Our egg chairs and related furniture products are large and bulky items. Deliveries may be handled by specialist couriers or pallet services. Please ensure you have:

  • Checked measurements and access routes before ordering
  • Someone available to receive the delivery
  • Suitable access for delivery vehicles where required

If a delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect address details, lack of access, or nobody being available to receive it, re-delivery or return charges may apply.
